Professional Supervision
Deborah strongly believes in Professional Supervision and has obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision from the University of Auckland, which is a multi-disciplinary qualification.
The primary function of Professional Supervision is to provide a “forum wherein practitioners can critically engage with their practice, reflect on their actions, review their decisions and learn...[s]upervision, therefore...is a forum for reflection and learning” (Davys & Beddoe, 2010, p 21).

Deborah uses the reflective learning model and the strength-based approach in her supervision practice. She is interested in hearing from colleagues and younger practitioners who are interested in discussing this further. Professional supervision is considered part of the Continuing Professional Development by NZLS.
